Why We Love It

The Laurent Collection distills the milk globe to its essential relationship between circle and sphere. A series of thin forms compliment the Laurent globes—forms that carve through space, moving between line, surface, and volume. These forms combine in endless patterns, making it possible for an installation of Laurent lamps to inhabit any space with subtlety and quiet strength.

  • The Laurent Collection combines simple shapes and forms into effortlessly modular fixtures.
  • Polished brass, powder-coated aluminum or nickel plated steel frame.
  • Handblown opaline glass globes.
  • Powder-coated aluminum or brass hardware.
  • Polyester cord.
  • Mounting system in 3 styles: angled wires with canopy, parellel wires with ceiling mount or parallel wires with offset mount.
  • Mounting type finish (parallel wires only) to match canopy; different finish available by request.
  • 3000K color temperature and/or ≥90 color rendition index available upon request.
  • The dimming technology offering the best results is ELV (electronic low voltage) dimmers with reverse phase or trailing edge control, other dimmers can yield good results and conducting a test before final installation is recommended.
  • Must be installed by an electrician.
  • Handmade to order in Montreal, Canada.
  • Due to the handcrafted nature of the fixture, very slight variations may occur in finishing from one lamp to another, making each piece unique.

Lambert & Fils

Founded in 2010, Lambert & Fils is a contemporary lighting studio that creates original collections and collaborates with emerging designers around the world. Preserving the bond between design and making, all lighting is handmade in the Lambert & Fils atelier in the heart of Montreal. Through its exploration of new design technologies, Lambert & Fils investigates the many shapes of light—meditating on voids, volumes and the importance of materials as a point of origin. These explorations trace where the unexpected meets the universally poetic, and where humility meets complex design.
