Many products can be customized. Whether it be the size, color, features, finishes or materials. Just ask!
Unlike a masterpiece painting or an unwieldy sectional sofa, benches cultivate flexibility and creativity by allowing for constant rearrangement. Some benches invite the human form, offering relaxation or movement to keep us satisfied. Others are like tables, completing an outdoor seating collection with a dash of colorful function. Regardless of the space, the purpose, or the splash of beauty it possesses, a clever bench is always a welcome addition.
Shifting gears, there is a side bench that fits alongside a set of Adirondack chairs by Loll Outdoor Furniture. Not ironically, its name fits the bill: the Adirondack table. But it crosses as a bench like you can't believe. Available in six brilliant colors that touch on both fiery hot (apple red) and ultra cool notes (leaf green or sky blue), the minimalist design of the Adirondack table is uniquely constructed out of approximately 296 recycled milk jugs. So not only is it outdoor-friendly as a non-porous, maintenance-free little beauty, it is also environmentally friendly!
Speaking of colors, the Krukski by Fatboy is a single-sized bench turned modular wall seating. Mix and match colors and patterns with no fear – they’ll look divine lined up against a hallway or living room wall. Said to be a combination between Fatboy’s Tablitski and their Baboeskja seats, the 16” high stool comes in 8 different colors and patterns, is made from powder-coated steel and a plush polyester cushion, and is - like all Fatboy products - made to last.
With a particular bias toward alternative office seating, I saved the Tilt by GO.LO.GOR.SKY.STUDIO for last. While the colors alone could have wooed me the way that both Krukski and Adirondack benches did, I ultimately fell for this little guy’s ability to rock and stack. They refer to it as “active seating” – allowing your core to engage when you move forward and back for 8+ hours. Made from LLDPE (a recyclable plastic of sorts), they also work as side tables, ottomans, or shoe storage if lined up functioning as a bench, yet again, in the hallway. Each Tilt measure 20”L x 15”W x 18”H and weighs just 9 lbs.
