Why We Love It

The Fluffy lounge chair by Fredrik A. Kayser is characterized by its ultra-soft upholstery in Norwegian sheepskin, and its sloping armrests leaning you into a welcoming embrace. Kayser graduated from National Academy of Craft and Art Industry back in 1945 and the lounge chair was designed while being employed at Rastad & Relling Tegnekontor. It combines both art and function into one, a floating cloud of fluffiness that builds on the past for the present. This is a brand-new species that can live anywhere!

  • Designed in 1954.
  • Frame available in solid European white oak treated with oil, white pigmented oil or smoke stained lacquer.
  • Upholstered in natural long sheepskin range from Roar Pelsindustri.
  • It is possible to order other wood types, surface finishes and upholstery for projects.
  • FSC certified premium hardwood, sourced from responsible and renewable forests.
  • As wood is a naturally sourced material, variations in color and pigmentation may occur. Appearance may change over time as furniture is affected by the environment in which its placed.
  • Variations may occur in the the long sheepskin; the natural white version can have some yellow color in it, and the natural black version can have some brown color in it.
  • Wipe spills immediately using a soft and dry cloth. Clean using a soft cloth with lukewarm water that has been well wrung and wipe it off with a dry cloth. To dust, use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush regularly.
  • For treated hardwood furniture, regularly apply soap or oil to protect and maintain finish.
  • Use the brush included with the chair to prevent the fur from having tangles and knots, and to remove loose hair and dirt. Regularly vacuum to remove dust and lint. A small amount of mild laundry detergent intended for wool may be used with clean, lukewarm water to remove stains.
  • If out of stock, item typically ships in 8-10 weeks – contact us for details.
