Rypen Collection Branded Furniture Limited Warranty

At Rypen, we strive to maintain a level of quality and value that we can be proud of and stand behind. Our Rypen Collections have been carefully visualized, designed, and manufactured with functionality and longevity in mind. In the event that one of our Rypen Collection products does not meet our quality standards, we are always willing to review the issue and do everything we can to make it right. Please see the terms below for more information or reach out to us with any questions.

Limited Warranty

The information in this Limited Warranty is intended for Rypen Collection products. All furniture products, finishes, parts, components and accessories manufactured for the Rypen Collections are covered under this Limited Warranty. Extended to the original Buyer, this Limited Warranty is valid from the date of delivery on all manufacturing defects. Rypen will determine the appropriate process for resolution and pay reasonable and customary labor rates to repair or replace the defective part(s) and shipping costs from Buyer to Rypen, or a repair center designated by Rypen at no charge to the original Buyer for the number of years indicated below. Rypen Collections (including Fort, Staple, Monument, Major Domo, Gully, Matriarch, Morse, and Foundation) are covered under this Limited Warranty for the following lengths of time:

REMEDY AND CLAIM PROCEDURE

Any item repaired or replaced under this Limited Warranty will be covered by this Limited Warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period only.

LIMITATIONS AND EXCEPTIONS

This Limited Warranty provides coverage to the original Buyer and does not apply to temporary, placeholder, or rental uses. This Limited Warranty does not apply to products that were used as a floor sample or display model, or was moved to a new physical location; any product(s) purchased “as is” or with discounted pricing due to damage or defect; any merchandise purchased at a liquidation sale; any merchandise purchased from another retailer other than Rypen. All warranties cover only normal usage of any Rypen Collection product. No warranty applies to any condition resulting from misuse, abuse, delivery or transportation damage, nor any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning or care. Warranty is null and void if furniture has been moved from Buyer’s original point of delivery and / or is damaged during the moving or transit process. Rypen has full authority to deem regarding the above.

CHEMICAL TREATMENTS

Not covered in this Limited Warranty are damages or defects caused by the use of cleaning products, treatments, or protective coatings applied by the Buyer. Any application of any product not recommended or sourced by Rypen will void all Rypen warranties.

MODIFICATIONS TO PRODUCTS

This Limited Warranty does not apply to any products that have been physically altered by any person, dealer, or company without Rypen’s express written authorization.

SIZE AND DIMENSION VARIABILITY

All dimensions listed on the Rypen Website and sales materials are approximate to within 1.5 inches. Any size and dimension of Rypen Collections products may vary by up to 1.5 inches of published dimensions. This variability is due to the handmade nature of our products, the inherent nature of reclaimed materials, and the expansion and contraction of wood products. The Buyer assumes all risk regarding determination of the product’s correct size and fit into the Buyer’s intended space. In no event shall a mistake in size or fit of the goods, due to Buyer error, result in invalidation of any order or require any refund to the Buyer.

APPEARANCE VARIABILITY

Buyer acknowledges that the appearance of the materials used to build certain products may vary slightly from the materials used in any sample models. This is due to natural characteristics of the materials and the craftsmanship used to create each individual piece. Therefore, no representation, warranty and/or guarantee is made with respect to the exact appearance of the materials, the exact color of the materials, and the exact finishes to the goods.

DISCLAIMER

Rypen does not warrant:

  • The matching of colors, grains, or textures of natural materials
  • Natural variations in wood grain or figure or the presence of character marks
  • Cracks and checks that occur naturally in wood and slabs
  • Wood may contain mineral deposits, knots, color differences, unusual grain patterns, pits, darker heart wood, lighter sap wood, gum streaks, small pin holes, etc.
  • Pilling of textiles
  • Foreign objects abrading fabric or leather over time
  • Soiling, stains, or dye transfer from clothing, including denims or other dyes or oils
  • The colorfastness or the matching of colors of textiles and leather, including an exact match to cuttings, samples, or to swatch cards
  • Marks, scars, or wrinkles occurring naturally in leather
  • Veins, marks, voids, fissures, stains, discolorations, or cracks found naturally in stone
  • Changes in surface finishes, including colorfastness, due to aging or exposure to light
  • Damage, marking, or staining of veneer surfaces due to contact with rubber or similar compounds; damage from sharp objects or imprinting from writing instruments, or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
  • Damage or marking of materials caused by sharp objects or writing instruments
  • Products that are exposed to extreme environmental conditions or that have been subject to improper storage
  • Failure resulting from normal wear and tear
  • Products manufactured by third parties but sold by Rypen
COM/COL MATERIALS

Rypen checks Customer’s Own Material (COM/COL) and other customer-supplied items for manufacturing quality only and does not provide any warranty with regard to these materials. Rypen reserves the right to deny the application of any material(s) deemed as unusable by our manufacturer(s), and will not be responsible for any COM costs, COM shipping costs, or lost time due to the denial of any COM material(s). No other express warranty has been made or will be made on behalf of Rypen with respect to the furniture and its parts, or the operation, repair, or replacement of the furniture and its parts. Furthermore, no representative of Rypen or its distributors or retailers is authorized to make any changes or modifications to these limited warranties. Some retailers offer extended or additional warranties, including but not limited to extended or additional fabric warranties, either from the retailer or through a third-party. Rypen shall not be liable under any extended or additional warranties offered by any retailer or through a third-party.

In no event shall Rypen be responsible for consequential or incidental damages, such as loss of use and time, inconvenience, commercial loss or damage to personal property, whether indirect or direct, and whether arising in contract or tort. In no event shall Rypen’s responsibility exceed the purchase price of the product or its replacement. Rypen will not be liable for the costs involved with installation and transit costs that result from a warranty claim. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

USA WARRANTY ONLY

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations or exclusions in the preceding paragraphs may not apply. This warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights; however, the purchaser may also have other rights that may vary from state to state.

WARRANTY OUTSIDE THE USA

Rypen does not extend its Limited Warranty outside the greater US.

THIRD PARTY VENDORS

Rypen is not responsible for the policies and terms established by third party vendors, including other product lines on Rypen.com; aftermarket accessories and parts; or aftermarket products that have been applied or used with or alongside Rypen products. Rypen can assist customers with reaching out to vendors that hold an existing partnership with Rypen to submit any warranty claim requests to the original vendor, but Rypen cannot be held responsible for any loss of time or any warranty claims denied by other vendors.

CLAIM PROCEDURE

If a problem should arise which you feel is covered by our Limited Warranty, contact Rypen by phone or email as indicated below. Any claim for warranty service must be accompanied by the original Purchase Order or Order Number, a detailed description of the issue, and clear photos of all packaging, items, and product tags, and included paperwork in order to satisfy the warranty processing requirements.

Rypen reserves the right to modify or update warranty guidelines at its discretion.
