The GMG Chaise Longue was designed in 1951 by Greta M. Grossman and with playful elegance it is perfectly angled for lounging whilst preserving all the streamlined qualities of a mid-century design. Built in a shape designed for relaxation it mirrors the body’s natural curves while appearing to float above its distinctive slender legs – a genuine signature of Greta M. Grossman’s work. The GMG Chaise Lounge shows a strong interest in merging functionality and comfort, while simultaneously remaining a delicate and powerful design language, revealing unique, light and iconic touches. Representing a literal link between European design and Californian modernism, Grossman designed the GMG Chaise Longue by successfully combining her Swedish fondness for colour and texture with the opportunities allowed by bright and open spaces of Southern California.
