Innovative and invitational, the Gubi 3D Dining Chair - Wood Base is the first furniture design based on moulding 3D veneer. The 3D design gives the chair a comfortable seat and a sense of lightness as all edges are pointing away from its user. This seat of art is included in the permanent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
The curators at Gubi make dwelling in the past look good. Their team of "treasure hunters" is on a mission to re-launch iconic designs from the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and today. That's over fifty years of eclectic, international, and groundbreaking mid-century modern design brought to the present.
