Why We Love It

The Silo collection inhabits many worlds at once, creating a striking metaphor for duality. Mysterious yet inviting, the true magic lies in how its rhythmic curves shape light and space around it. Made using custom aluminium extrusions, the modular uplight-downlight creates a theatrical yet sleek composition.

  • Created using 10’ aluminum extrusions, the Silo Collection’s vertical shapes take cues from brutalist architecture, recalling visions of concrete towers, cityscapes, and metallic wind instruments.
  • The collection plays with negative space to reflect its surroundings, making it as compelling turned off as when illuminated.
  • Powder-coated, mirror polished or tumbled aluminum body.
  • Custom color available upon request.
  • Satin polished aluminum base.
  • Polycarbonate lens.
  • Vinyl cord with foot control dimmer switch.
  • Uplight in each cylinder.
  • 2200K, 3500K and 4000K CCT available upon request, not available with dim-to-warm feature.
  • Handmade to order in Montreal, Canada.
  • Due to the handcrafted nature of the fixture, very slight variations may occur in finishing from one lamp to another, making each piece unique.
  • Production times on made to order items may vary – contact us for details.

Lambert & Fils

Founded in 2010, Lambert & Fils is a contemporary lighting studio that creates original collections and collaborates with emerging designers around the world. Preserving the bond between design and making, all lighting is handmade in the Lambert & Fils atelier in the heart of Montreal. Through its exploration of new design technologies, Lambert & Fils investigates the many shapes of light—meditating on voids, volumes and the importance of materials as a point of origin. These explorations trace where the unexpected meets the universally poetic, and where humility meets complex design.
